HOW TO GET TO BISSA VILLA

Bissa Villa is less than a minute walk from Palugaswewa railway station and easy to be reached by a train, bus, car or tuk-tuk. Very convenient location to go to/come from Trincomalee by train.

By train

Less than 1 minute walk from Palugaswewa station.
Walk eastwards alongside the railway track from the station.
You will find our back gate on your right before hitting a main road and a level crossing.
  • From Colombo Fort station
    (leaving 6.05 am, arriving 11.04 am)
  • From Batticaloa station
    (leaving 6.10 am/11.00 am, arriving 9.50 am/6.19pm)
  • From Trincomalee station
    (leaving 7pm, arriving 9.42pm or leaving 11.20am, arriving at Galoya Junction Station at 1:22pm. Then take a tuk tuk)
  • From Polonnaruwa station
    (leaving 8.30am/1.56pm, arriving 9.50am/4.19pm)

By bus

From Anuradhapura

 

  1. Take a direct bus from Anuradhapura to Habarana.
  2. Get off at Palugaswewa station (after a level crossing).
  3. Walk back towards the level crossing.
  4. Turn left just before the level crossing. Walk into a path.
  5. You can see our restaurant Train Hut and a Bissa Villa sign.

 

From Habarana junction  (takes about 10 mins)

 

  1. Take any buses at a bus stop on the west side of Habarana Junction on Maradankadawala-Habarana-Thirukkondaiadimadu Highway.
  2. Ask a conductor to stop for Palugaswewa station (before a level crossing).
  3. Walk into a path on your left from the main road.
  4. You can see our restaurant Train Hut and a Bissa Villa sign.

 

By car / tuk tuk

About 6 mins from Habarana junction.
Drive Maradankadawala-Habarana-Thirukkondaiadimadu Highway northwards. Enter a path on the left just before a level crossing. (same route as by bus)

We can send a tuk tuk to pick you up around Habarana Junction too.
